Canopy, referenced as meaning ‘ceiling plate’ by the designer, was the direct inspiration for the form of this lamp. A detail often overlooked by many lighting designs, yet a key factor to ensuring a seamless look that hides all wires when installed. The form is pulled directly from an existing ceiling plate shape used at Oluce, enlarged to a generous size, it transforms from an often unnoticed detail, to the star of the show.

Transformed into the reflector of the suspension lamp, the special bulb gives out an extremely soft and mysterious glimmer. ‘Canopy’ draws from an important suspension lamp in the history of design, namely Vico Magistretti's ‘Sonora’.

Finished in a beautiful dark brown / bronze exterior.
