In 1997 Ron Arad created Totem - a sculpture comprised of 100 chairs stacked on top of one another. A key component of the sculpture was the Tom Vac chair, which Arad designed specially for the installation. Now one of the designers best selling pieces, it has graced homes and offices for over 20 years.

The sculptural form features sweeping curves with a unique ribbed texture, sitting atop polished chrome legs. An impressive scale, they have a great presence within a space. The clever cut-out design of the tub-like seat allows the chairs to be stacked, always a nice option to have.
