Called ‘The Chair of the Century’ by Time Magazine, the Eames LCW (Lounge chair wood) has cemented itself as one of the most influential designs of the past 100 years. Streaming from the Eames’ experiments with moulded plywood, more specifically the leg splints created for the US army during WW2, the ability to shape plywood on 3 axis was the discovery that sparked the creation of this chair.

First put into production in 1946, it has filled homes and offices ever since.

The compact size makes it an incredibly versatile piece. Easy to move around, very durable and assembled from just 5 moulded plywood pieces, it struck the perfect balance of comfort, innovation and an appealing form that is just as relevant now as when it was designed.

An awesome look in the stained black wood, it slots effortlessly into almost any interior style.
