The Eames LCM has cemented itself as one of the most influential designs of the past 100 years. Streaming from the Eames’ experiments with moulded plywood, more specifically the leg splints created for the US army during WW2, the ability to shape plywood on 3 axis was the discovery that sparked the creation of this now iconic seat shape.
First put into production in 1946, it has filled homes and offices ever since.
The compact size makes it an incredibly versatile piece. Easy to move around, very durable and assembled from just 2 moulded plywood pieces, and a welded tubular steel frame, it struck the perfect balance of comfort, innovation and an appealing form that is just as relevant now as when it was designed.
An awesome look in the classic chrome and natural wood finish, it slots effortlessly into almost any interior style.
NOTE: A second chair will be available shortly after some light surface restoration.
