'Papillon' rotating storage by Furio Minuti for Guzzini
Designer: Furio Minuti
Maker: Guzzini - Italy
Year: 1980s
Size: D/W 265 x H 85
Condition Report: Excellent condition. Unused in original box.
.
A refined post-modern storage container, initially intended for holding paper plates or cakes / tarts. Perfect in the centre of a table for it’s original function, we think it also works well as a unique catch all for tucking away keys, wallets and glasses.
Guzzini’s use of plastics is celebrated for their bold colour palettes, (not so much in this case), and different transparencies, often combining multiple plastic pieces that seamlessly click together to create the final form.
