Producing a range of both sculptural and functional ceramics here in NZ, Brendon Adams (alongside his wife Kathryn) has amassed an impressive range of works since the start of his career in 1987.
This selection of two sets of silhouetted head salt and pepper shakers strike a perfect balance of playful form and unique colour use all in pieces that are functional for day to day use. Each set was uniquely hand painted by the pair, meaning no two are a like. Produced from 1995 through to 2017.
With one side of each head painted in bolder colours and one in a more simple blue tone, each sets neatly tucks together along a zig-zag join.
Whether they find a home on the dining table, or as decoration on a shelf, they are an awesome piece of local design and craft.
