The heat lamp is not something that we see often today, but was a common item in houses during the mid century.

The ability to rotate the lamp along the axis of this ring is a great touch that allows the piece to be adjusted to suit the desired space.
NOTE: While these do come with their original heat bulbs (that do produce a fair amount of heat) they can be replaced with a more standard bulb to achieve normal lamp light.
