Designer: Giotto Stoppino

Maker: Kartell - Italy

Year: 1960s

Size: H 410 x D/W 480 (When Stacked)

Condition Report: Good vintage condition. No cracking or damage. The Tallest tabletop shows a faint water ring and 2 small cigarette burns, quite common on the top table of these sets. Reach out for detailed images.

.

Kartell’s nesting tables were a first step in developing the idea of a single piece of injected moulded plastic being all that is needed to create beautiful and functional furniture design.

As a new material of the time, the ability to achieve a one step manufacturing process was invaluable to both cost and production time, and is an idea which has now become ingrained in the way we produce objects today.

Soft geometric curves create a lip around all edges of the piece, giving it strength and structure, while maintaining a sense of lightness in form.

An excellent bold tone, these make a playful yet functional addition to any contemporary interior.

Vintage or new, let us know if you'd like us to track down another one.
