Designer: Giotto Stoppino

Maker: Kartell - Italy

Year: 1960s

Size: D410 x W410 x H400

Condition Report: Good vintage condition. Table has been repainted previously, nice finish, although some spot of the original plastic are showing with wear, cream underneath. Reach out for detailed images.

.

Kartell’s nesting tables were a first step in developing the idea of a single piece of injected moulded plastic being all that is needed to create beautiful and functional furniture design.

As a new material of the time, the ability to achieve a one step manufacturing process was invaluable to both cost and production time, and is an idea which has now become ingrained in the way we produce objects today.

Soft geometric curves create a lip around all edges of the piece, giving it strength and structure, while maintaining a sense of lightness in form.
