NZ$0.00
sold out

Designer: Charles Furey

Maker: Sebel - Australia

Year: 1970s

Size: D 450 X W490 X H820 - Seat Height 500

Condition Report: Good vintage condition. Small dent in seat, and minor paint cracking around edge of base.

.

Charles Furey pioneered the innovative approach to plastic polypropylene furniture both locally in Australia and New Zealand, but also on a global scale. He designed and produced the first one-piece polypropylene chair, the Integra, which many great makers and designers had been working towards in the years prior.

The ‘Hobnob’ chair continues this exploration of plastics, combining a moulded tub style seat with a swivelling metal ‘tulip’ base. The result is a comfortable and functional chair, that makes a bold sculptural statement in any contemporary interior.
