.
Conceived by Gaetano Pesce in 1996 and produced in the Corsi Design Factory since 2003, the Pompitu II vase is an excellent example of Pesce’s tactile style of design using new age materials. The nature of the design, materials and craftsmanship come together to create a unique object every time. It’s bubbles and imperfections form a crucial part of the individuality of each object.
The rubber-like polyurethane material is flexible in hand, with an intriguing overlap of colours, textures and shapes. This tactility gives a sense of energy to the vase, feeling dynamic and almost liquid, as the piece appears to melt onto the tabletop.
