Maker: Dyson - UK

Year: 2015

Size: H 162 x D/W 13 (in case)

Condition Report: Excellent condition. Practically no visible wear to pen. Clear tube case shows light marking and wear, serving its intended purpose of protecting the pen itself.

.

The Dyson 'Biro' is a rare ballpoint that was never sold to retail customers, being a promotional item that was available in the UK through Dyson giveaways and handouts to partners.

The pen has an all-metal body and telescopic design machined from solid pieces of aluminium.

The 'Biro' was named after Laszlo Biro, the inventor of the ballpoint pen. Despite this fact, Dyson’s Biro was intended to be a kind of reinvention of the ballpoint. Dyson claim over 20 of its engineers, including the founder James Dyson, spent time developing 50 iterations of this pen before it they got it right.

A replaceable ink cartridge ensures a long life ahead, taking a readily available D1 refill.

Included is the original storage tube which features two aluminium plugs to secure the pen inside.

Vintage or new, let us know if you'd like us to track down another one.
