Designer: Philippe Starck

Maker: Alessi - Italy

Year: 1996

Size: 21 Pieces - 6 knives, 6 forks, 6 spoon & 3 teaspoons.

Condition Report: Great vintage condition. Limited signs of wear. Slight mark to base of holder, reach out for detailed images.

.

In 1996 Alessi presented the 'Faitoo' series designed by Philippe Starck. From the French 'fait - tout' or 'handyman'. The collection consisted of a set of kitchen utensils and table setting items that could be hung on a wall bar to be always at hand.

This cutlery set, one of the key parts of the collection, centres around a green tree that holds and displays the full set when not in use.

Unique in form, the soft curves of each piece are ergonomic in hand, a highlight of which being the knives. An intriguing form that sees the lines of the blade fold over on themselves to create a flowing arched handle, perfectly shaping to the users hand.

No longer in production, a full set in this size along with the matching cutlery hanger is very hard to come by.
