The platform chair offers an architectural silhouette for a residential space. Part chair, part side table, the unique form lends itself to a number of uses around the home. With a range of openings and transparencies, it looks amazing filled with books or pilled with objects, really blurring the lines of the usual function of a chair.
Constructed from salvaged solid Rimu panels sourced from the now demolished Auckland University Science department, it breathes new life into existing materials to extend the usage for years to come.
Linear lines and hard edges blend effortlessly with the warmth of the natural tone of Rimu, finished with a natural matte hard-wax for that extra layer of protection.
Designed and crafted by AJ Cox locally in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.
