The ‘Spiked’ side table, designed and crafted by Gerard Dombroski from his Wellington workshop.
Constructed in raw steel, the tabletop rests on 12 legs , each hand welded to create the impressive form. While the table itself has a decent weight, the thin spiked legs and slim tabletop give the piece a feeling of incredible lightness.
A beautiful balance of design and materiality, the legs catch the light in a unique way, casting uniform shadows in the sunlight.
Left in it’s original raw steel finish, the welds and construction marks are all on show. An intriguing appearance that will patina and age beautifully with time.
