Designer: Luca Nichetto

Maker: Foscarini - Italy

Year: 2000s

Size: H 1840 x D/W 295

Condition Report: Good vintage condition. Metal fins show wear in places and some very slight bending. Lamp has been rewired and is functioning perfectly. Reach out for detailed images.

.

A unique floor lamp at a generous scale. Designed and produced by the Italian lighting manufacturer Foscarini at the beginning of the 21st century. It’s clever construction is made up almost entirely of 14 metal fins that run the full length of the lamp, secured at three points along the centre. this gives the lamp a unique transparency, with small slithers of light visible through the centre. Pointed tips contrast with the softer curves of the lamps body, an intriguing look that feels very retro-futuristic in form.

The reflector at the top of the lamp throws light upwards, as well as a soft glow visible from the side. Currently fitted with a chromed bulb, the lighting balance is subtle yet warm. For a brighter look, a regular bulb could be used.

With limited information and seemingly no other lamps of the same design available online, this is a real gem to find locally here in NZ.
