ORANGE 'ROCHETTO' SIDE TABLES by ACHILLE CASTIGLIONI for KARTELL
Designer: Achille Castiglioni
Maker: Kartell - Italy
Year: 1967
Size: D/W 420 x H 430
Condition Report: Great vintage condition. Lids have been glued into the base, so cannot be removed as usual. Upper lips show slight cracking in places, yet locked together by the outer edge, so this does not affect the structure or function (We’d recommend not sitting on these due to this, best for use as a side table). Plastic has been polished and is in excellent shape.
.
NOTE: Price is for 1, we have 2 available.
Designed in 1967, by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Kartell. The ‘Rochetto’ stool was a huge success in ABS plastic design, seeing the use of 2 identical halves come together to create a bold and sculptural form that is balanced in both beauty and function.
This pair, without the circular cushion, makes an ideal side table. Usually seen with a removable lid, instead these have been fixed to the inside edge of the stool.
Perfect for use as a bedside or side table, the lightweight nature makes them the perfect piece to move around a space for whatever function is needed.
