CREAM ROCHETTO STOOL by ACHILLE CASTIGLIONI for KARTELL
Designer: Achille Castiglioni
Maker: Kartell - Italy
Year: 1967
Size: D/W 420 x H 430
Condition Report: Great vintage condition. Scuffing and yellowing inline with age. Vintage Cushion upholstered in Dark Green / Jade coloured vinyl. The removable tray has split at some point around the edges, but has been repaired well. Reach out for detailed images.
.
Designed in 1967, by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Kartell. The ‘Rochetto’ stool was a huge success in ABS plastic design, seeing the use of 2 identical halves come together to create a bold and sculptural form that is balanced in both beauty and function.
The circular cushions can be removed, leaving a flat surface, making this ideal as either a stool or side table. The original white colour has aged beautifully to a soft cream, and dark green cushion balances perfectly with this tone.
