Condition Report: Great vintage condition given age. No major dents. One puncture on the side of the case has been repaired with an aluminium patch. light scratching all over inline with age and use. Keys are missing. Original cross body strap included. Original internal dividers show wear but are included.

Developed first in 1976 by Rimowa, the ‘Tropicana’ range was the brand’s first waterproof case, intended for use with camera equipment. An amazing innovation for professionals in filmmaking and photography whose equipment was previously subject to water, humidity, tropical heat, and arctic cold.

This particular version is an original from the 70s, a truly rare find in such great condition. From a time prior to Rimowa’s switch to a ridged aluminium finish, this case features a speckled dot finish and classic riveted edges.

The original Tropicana sticker is still intact, along with the Rimowa badge on the top of the case.
