1967 ARMCHAIR by ROBIN DAY for HILLE
Designer: Robin Day
Maker: Hille - UK (produced in NZ by ZIP)
Year: 1967
Size:
Condition Report: Great vintage condition. Slight scuffing to legs and seat. Small areas of faint discolouration on seat.
.
Price is per chair. We have 1 available.
Designed by Robin Day for Hille in 1967, the Armchair launched following the dramatic success of the Poly Side chair (an armless equivalent). Its rolled edges ensure that the fixings are kept out of sight from the front view and the generously wide seat with built in arms makes it incredibly comfortable.
As with the majority of Day’s Polypropylene shell designs, it featured the same fixing points enabling the shell to be fitted to the numerous bases.
This version, produced in New Zealand by ZIP, uses a cream seat and light grey sled-style legs, a combination we feel is hard to beat.
