Designer: Steen Ostergaard

Maker: Cado - Denmark

Year: 1966

Size: D 430 x H 740 x W 530 - Seat Height 430

Condition Report: Good Vintage Condition. Re-painted red by previous owner. Scuffing, wear and signs of painting visible. NOTE: As a cantilever chair, these do have a reasonable amount of flex. We would recommend viewing / sitting in the chairs prior to purchase to ensure they are suitable for your intended use. Suitable for use up to roughly 80kg.

.

We have 1 chair remaining.

Sculptural in form, the A-Line chairs have a great lightness to them. One continuous piece of injection moulded plastic curves and folds in on itself to create the chairs leg shape and structure.

Pioneering the use of single piece injection moulded plastic, the Ostergaard design team claims this was the first successful injection moulded chair created, although the Panton chair provides a strong case against this claim.

A beautiful example of designers and manufacturers working together to push forward the boundaries of material use in design.

Vintage or new, let us know if you'd like us to track down another one.
