The ‘Spiked’ coffee table, designed and crafted by Gerard Dombroski from his Wellington workshop.
Constructed in steel with a soft cream painted finish, the coffee table boasts a generous 50 legs, each hand welded to create this impressive form. While the table itself has considerable weight, the thin spiked legs and slim tabletop give the piece a feeling of incredible lightness.
A beautiful balance of design and materiality, the legs catch the light in a unique way, casting uniform shadows in the sunlight. Not just an aesthetic detail, the rows of vertical supports offer a great place to lean a few favourite books or records.
