The Tizio Table lamp, designed by Richard Sapper, has become a icon of postmodern high-tech design. Defined by it’s set of counterweights that balance the lamp and ensure a wide range of motion can be achieved, and supported by parallel arms that replace the wire connection to the bulb and act as a conductor to supply power. Each piece is clicked together with snap fasteners, ensuring the arms can move freely without effecting the flow of electricity.

This lamp, produced more recently, is the new LED version from Artemide. An energy efficient alternative that offers all the same design details and features.
